Who We Are
Empire Mortgage is a privately owned firm that specializes in acquiring residential and mixed-use mortgage pools. We are located in Hunt Valley, Maryland, just outside of downtown Baltimore.
We have considerable expertise in the valuation and oversight of pools of performing, sub-performing, non-performing and distressed residential and mixed-use mortgages.
We consistently work with a wide array of sellers, ranging from small, private investors to large financial institutions. Since our founding in 1993, Empire Mortgage has closed and funded thousands of transactions involving both the purchase and sale of residential and mixed-use mortgage pools.
Empire Mortgage has been in business since 1993. While many other market players have come and gone, our track record enables both buyers and sellers to be confident that they can depend on a commitment from Empire Mortgage.
Empire Mortgage is a privately owned firm that does not rely on outside investors for capital. We are not beholden to public shareholders, equity partners or a board of directors. As such, we are able to make quick decisions and aggressively act to close a transaction, whether it is a single loan or a large portfolio.
Empire Mortgage has closed and funded thousands of transactions involving both the purchase and sale of residential mortgages. We pride ourselves on closing transactions efficiently and on schedule. Please feel free to contact Empire Mortgage if you would like us to provide you with a list of satisfied counterparties for your reference.
Empire Mortgage specializes in buying and selling residential and mixed-use mortgage pools. Within a very short period of receiving your summary loan data (often in just a few hours), we can provide you with a preliminary bid indicating the potential value of your assets. We will typically quote an indicative price (as a % of par), based upon the Unpaid Principle Balance (“UPB”) of the loan.
Upon acceptance of our indicative preliminary bid, we will immediately begin performing due diligence on the pool of mortgages. Funding can typically occur within 3 to 4 weeks of receiving your summary loan data.
Upon acceptance of our final bid, we will execute a purchase contract, finalize the collateral review and complete the transaction.
